Alpha Blazen: The Lightning Alpha Atop Blitzwood
Alpha Blazen waits on a mountaintop south of the Blitzwood Bloom. Here is how to handle the fast Lightning Alpha and farm Roar Stones.
Alpha Blazen is the Lightning Alpha of Blitzwood — swift as lightning, fur standing on end with static, and genuinely dangerous if you underestimate the speed dial. This is the Alpha that punishes lazy dodging.
Location
Go south of the Blitzwood Bloom and climb to the mountaintop — Blazen commands the summit. The climb is the tax you pay before the fight; the boss itself sits in the open once you arrive. Regional layout in the Blitzwood map guide.
Weaknesses and counters
Blazen is Lightning: it takes 1.6x from Ice and Dark, and resists Water and Light on defense. Both the launch chart and the community boss listing agree on this row, so Ice is your primary answer and Dark the backup — this is one Alpha where you can trust the numbers before you walk up the mountain.
The fight
- Speed — Blazen is fast and deadly. Its discharges close gaps instantly, so pre-emptive dodging gets you hit; react late and deliberate.
- Electric discharges — wide, crackling attacks that cover the summit. Fighting near the edges risks getting knocked off your footing.
- Burst windows — after the big discharge combos it stalls briefly. That is your Break window.
Bring Ice or Dark DPS, a Break unit, and a Heal — this fight is shorter than most Alphas but far more punishing per mistake.
The team
- Ice DPS — primary counter damage.
- Dark DPS — backup into the weakness.
- Break — open the guard window fast before the speed ramps.
- Heal — one healed burst mistake is often the difference between a clear and a wipe.
The catch and the reward
First clear pays Roar Stone x5, Glimmer x50, Safaris x500, Irisalis Petal x1, and Lumin Amber x1, with Roar Stone on repeat runs. The capture window needs an Aniipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube (100%); attempts cost 30 Primegy each. Rules in the Capture Mechanics guide.
Where it fits
Roar Stones feed the Lightning lines, and the speed-focused fight here is good practice for the Lightning Omega, Alpha Luminelle’s bigger cousin on Tideblossom Coast. See the Boss Guides overview for the full sequence.
