Alpha Panpanta: The Water Alpha Nesting at Echoback Landing
Alpha Panpanta is the lazy-looking Water Alpha north of the Echoback Landing Bloom. Here is the nest fight, the counters, and the Wave Stone farm.
Alpha Panpanta is the Water Alpha of Echoback Landing — honest, gentle, and absolutely willing to unfold astonishing strength the moment you walk into its nest. The lazy reputation is a trap.
Location
Go north of the Echoback Landing Bloom, close to the shore. Panpanta prowls the coastline there, near the water’s edge. If you have already cleared the region’s Journey, the spawn is straightforward — unlike some regional bosses, this one does not depend on the clock. Map context in the Echoback Landing guide.
Weaknesses and counters
Panpanta is Water: it takes 1.6x from Ice, Lightning and Grass and resists Fire, Water, Earth and Dark. Grass is the sneaky-good pick here because it also answers the region’s wild spawns, but Ice and Lightning are the raw damage answers. Leave Fire at home.
The fight
- Nest defense — the fight is a territorial brawl. Panpanta commits to wide, heavy attacks and does not chase much, so the mistake is over-dodging into its face.
- Guard pressure — as a Break-role creature by design, its own guard behavior mirrors that: expect to work the shield down before your damage sticks.
- Burst windows — after its heavy commitment attacks, it is wide open. That is your Break window, not a time to heal.
Bring Ice, Lightning or Grass DPS, a Break unit, and a Heal — this is a longer fight than its relaxed look suggests.
The team
- Ice or Lightning DPS — Thornblade is the community favourite for a reason.
- Grass DPS — flexible coverage that doubles for the region.
- Break — Pomawk-style pressure for the punish windows.
- Support or Heal — Melloblum-type sustain keeps the long phase safe.
The catch and the reward
First clear pays Wave Stone x5, Glimmer x50, Safaris x500, Irisalis Petal x1, and Lumin Amber x1, with Wave Stone on repeat runs. Secure the capture window with an Aniipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube (100%) — attempts cost 30 Primegy, and the base Alpha catch rate is not worth the gamble. Rules in the Capture Mechanics guide.
Where it fits
Panpanta’s Wave Stones feed evolution lines, and the same region hosts the far nastier Omega Sherro — a Water boss with the same resist profile, so the team you build here transfers directly. Read the Boss Guides overview before the trip.
