Scorchhowl: Aniimo's Fire Powerhouse and Its Three Forms

Scorchhowl is the Fire-line payoff from Emberpup, with base, Thunderstorm, and Prismana forms. Learn where to find it and how each form plays.

If your starter is Light, one of the first holes in your team is Fire — and the Fire line that everyone ends up with runs through Scorchhowl.

The line

  • Emberpup — the Fire wolf pup you meet early. Cute, and the branch point.
  • Emberpup evolves into either Scorchhowl or Inferlupa — a branching choice, so pick the path that fits your team. Scorchhowl is the straight Fire DPS; Inferlupa adds Dark and a Break role if you need that instead.

Scorchhowl itself is Fire / DPS, a primary damage dealer that covers the Grass and Ice matchups your Light starter leaves open.

The three forms

Scorchhowl is notable for carrying three forms:

  1. Base Scorchhowl — the standard Fire form.
  2. Thunderstorm Form — an alternate form; the exact element and kit changes are worth confirming in your Aniilog, as environmental and branching forms shift stats and sometimes typing.
  3. Prismana Form — the rainbow variant tied to Prismatic Energy, stronger than base and a collection prize. The Prismana system is covered in the Aniimo Prismana Guide.

Form availability and exact bonuses are the kind of detail the game documents per-creature in the Aniilog; treat any specific number as “confirm in your Aniilog” rather than gospel.

Where to find it

Scorchhowl spawns in Beast Fang Ridge. The Alpha Scorchhowl also sits there — east of the Sanctuary: Water to Ice — and is a Fire-type weak to Water and Rock/Earth, dropping Blaze Stone on clear. If you are hunting the Alpha, bring a Water or Earth breaker; the Aniimo Capture Mechanics guide explains the post-defeat catch rule.

How to use it

Run Scorchhowl as a second damage element behind your Light starter. It fills the exact gap Light leaves, and as a DPS it slots cleanly into the four-team template from the Aniimo Early Team Build. For matchup detail, the Aniimo Type Chart shows Fire’s strengths at a glance.
