Aniimo Evolution Lines: Stages, Requirements and Best Lines
Aniimo evolution runs on Lumin, Gamma and Nova stages with stones, bosses, weather and personality gates. Here is how it works and which lines to prioritize.
Evolving in Aniimo is not a level treadmill — it is a checklist. Every branch has its own requirements, they stack, and some are things you would never guess. Here is the system, the traps, and the best lines.
The three stages
The official index splits growth into three stages: Lumin (the starting form), Gamma (attributes and skills change) and Nova (the final form — highest attributes, hardest materials). A quick tell: if the index lists no wild habitat, it is almost always an evolved form — those never spawn; you can only get one by evolving.
Where evolution happens
Open your Aniimo list (P on PC), select the creature, and use the evolve button (bottom-right, just left of Level Up). The tutorial introduces it after Sanctum: First Spark, though the button exists earlier. Read the icons: yellow double arrow means evolve now; gray means only a time, weather or region condition is missing; no arrow means another requirement is unmet.
The requirement types
Branches commonly stack several of these:
- Level — the baseline on almost every evolution.
- Evolution stone — elemental stones (Sprout, Loam, Roar, Wave, Gust, Night). Most come from Alpha bosses; a first win guarantees a set. One Flux Crystal can substitute, but they are valuable.
- Time, weather or region — many forms must be in their home region, weather or time of day.
- Story and Journey quests — e.g. Emberpup needs Sanctum: First Spark cleared to become Flameruff.
- Personality — uses “contains,” not exclusivity, but multi-tag lines need every tag listed.
- Alpha or Omega defeat — Nova forms often require beating the wild boss of that form.
Lines worth knowing
- Fire: Emberpup → Flameruff → Scorchhowl → Inferlupa (NO.001–004) — a clean four-step line.
- Celestis to Stellarys — level 18, defeat Alpha Stellarys, spend a Night Stone.
- Jawling to Helmwhelp to Infergon — the flying dragon needs level 48, the highest documented threshold.
- Skippy (female) to Glacy — a male Skippy will never make this jump.
- Helmut branches to Pawney (pull the Sword of Bravery at level 45) or Rookey (level 45, Unwavering Rampart, a Counter in Ballistic Guard).
- Popota to Panpanta — Alpha Panpanta, level 39, night, personality [Instinctive] + [Judicious].
Conditions are community-documented and can change between patches — confirm in-game before spending.
The traps
- Evolution is permanent — no undo is documented in version 1.0, and evolving an Umbral Aniimo strips its Umbral look.
- Roles and elements can change — Hummin to Hexxin flips BREAK to REGEN; Pebbling’s Fire branch stays BREAK but turns Fire.
- Personality never changes on its own — Psyche Fruit (shop) rewrites it silently and can open or close branches.
- Form change is not evolution. Weather and Prismana forms are the same Aniimo in different clothes.
How to spend
Pick your main first and feed it, rather than spreading stones thin. Save stones for Elite or Perfect quality creatures. Farming routes are in Boss Guides; team context is in the Early Team Build guide.
