Omega Infergon in Aniimo: The Fire Dragon of Russet Highlands

Omega Infergon is the Fire Omega boss above Russet Highlands. Here is the Warrior quest gate, the crystallite mechanics, and the team that beats it.

Omega Infergon is the big one — an armoured Fire dragon parked in the arena above Russet Highlands, and the gate between you and the best Fire evolution in the game. The marker sits inert until you finish the right Journey, then it refreshes weekly. Bring 50 Primegy per attempt.

Unlocking the fight

  • Finish the Journey quest Warrior (also listed as “The Legend of Helmuts and Helgons”) in Russet Highlands. The questgiver is Sorora, the Mysterious Painter, on the western side of the region.
  • The chain ties into the main story quest Ancient Sacred Fragrance — if you are running that story leg through Russet Highlands, you are already on the path.
  • The quest fight against Infergon does not let you capture it. Beating it unlocks the Omega encounter at the arena marker, near the Twister Peaks Bloom fast travel.
  • After the first clear it returns on a weekly cycle, still 50 Primegy.

What you are fighting

Infergon is pure Fire. Per the type chart, it takes 1.6x from Water and Earth, resists Fire, Grass and Ice, and everything else is neutral. Build Water or Earth, and leave homing projectiles at home — its Gale Charge reflects flying shots, so projectile teams end up shooting themselves.

The fight has two scripted moments you have to answer:

  • Fire crystallites. When the warning pops, the crystallites are about to blow. Shatter them to open safe zones and stay out of the shock wave.
  • The Ultimate. Trigger BREAK the moment it starts casting. Letting the aerial fire breath finish stacks Fire debuffs on your team, and Infergon hits harder against debuffed targets.

Below half health it gets meaner. Expect more air time: after each flyby it dives and lands, and that landing is your window to pile BREAK damage on. Solo runs drag; co-op cuts this down a lot.

The team

  • Water or Earth DPS — non-negotiable. Melee or non-projectile damage sidesteps the reflect.
  • BREAK pressure — you need the gauge for the Ultimate interrupt and the stagger windows.
  • Support / healer — the debuff stacks punish long fights.

Why you are doing this

The win is not a catch — Omega-tier Aniimo cannot be captured. What it flips is the evolution requirement: a Perfect-potential Jawling or Helmwhelp at level 48, plus a Blaze Stone, becomes a Nova-stage Infergon, the armoured Fire DPS with built-in Lv3 flight.

Two warnings from the community:

  • Mountain Jawling and Mountain Helmwhelp do not qualify — the golden variants only lead to Mountain Helgon.
  • A Prisma Infergon (Fire/Wind, tankier) exists through the Season Event Hub’s Prisma egg. Community-sourced — check the live event.

The one thing to remember

Warrior quest first, marker second, 50 Primegy third. Water or Earth, break the crystallites, interrupt the Ultimate, punish every landing. Details like the exact spawn pin are community-sourced — verify against your in-game map before spending.
