Omega Tuckin in Aniimo: Breaking the Mistwoods Root Boss

Omega Tuckin sleeps north of the Mistwoods Bloom behind an Earth Shield. Here is the Binding Oath gate, the root-break loop, and the Fire team that wins.

Omega Tuckin is the Grass Omega of The Mistwoods — a sleeping giant that hides behind an Earth Shield, spits Hummin helpers, and drags a root out of the ground whenever it wants to hit something. It waits north of the Mistwoods Bloom, burrowed beside a large tree.

Unlocking the fight

  • Finish the Journey Binding Oath in The Mistwoods — the questline with Selens and the duet. Completion registers the Omega challenge in the Institute Guide’s Aniimo Challenge menu.
  • 50 Primegy per attempt, weekly cycle once unlocked. If the marker went quiet mid-week, you already used the attempt; travelling back will not respawn it before the reset.
  • If the quest is done but the menu still looks locked, reopen the map or relog once so the completion registers.

What you are fighting

Tuckin is Grass: 1.6x from Fire, Wind and Dark, resists Water, Grass and Earth, neutral to Ice. Fire is the efficient pick of the three because it also clears the add wave.

The loop that matters:

  • Earth Shield. For long stretches it is close to immune. Do not chip at the boss during these — dodge the Hummin fire and wait.
  • Giant Vine Hammer. It raises a massive root and slams it down. When the root sticks, attack the root, not the boss. Breaking the root shatters the Earth Shield and leaves Tuckin staggered. Dump everything there.
  • Hummins. One at the start, one more every 10 seconds, max three. Kill them fast — when the Hummins drop, Tuckin takes damage too, and they leak HP back into the boss if you let them live.
  • Draw Nourishment. It roots in, buffs its and the Hummins’ BREAK, heals the adds to 50% and ticks regeneration. Kill the helpers inside this window or the fight snowballs.
  • Earthen Maze. Walls go up while it recovers. Burn the vines with Fire or take the narrow passage — do not wander.

One more thing: Tuckin carries very high M.DEF, so magic-heavy teams struggle. Physical BREAK pressure is the reliable road.

The team

  • Fire DPS — Scorchhowl and Stellarys are the community picks; Fire also burns the maze.
  • Support — Turbo-type utility rounds it out.
  • Sustain matters: this is a longer fight than its level band suggests.

Rewards

First clear: Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystal x100, Glimmer x100, Safaris x800, regional Lumin Amber x2. Repeat clears drop the Dewdrop Crystal as the material reward. Community-sourced — verify in-game.

Beating Tuckin also starts The Legend of Mist and Light questline and unlocks the evolution: Hummin into Tuckin at level 18 with a Sprout Stone, plus the dig interaction at the Twisted Roots Sanctum.

The one thing to remember

Binding Oath first. Fire team, ignore the boss during shield phases, break the stuck root, kill Hummins on cooldown. The shield is the fight — everything else is punctuation.
