Exiled Survivors: Lucifer the Duke of Metal — Demon Lord Guide

Lucifer the Duke of Metal is the armored demon lord in Exiled Survivors. Why armor break decides this fight, and what to bring to crack the wall.

Lucifer is the wall. The Duke of Metal is the armored fight of the Nine Circles, and it is the hardest stop in the game for builds that never bothered with armor break.

Where Lucifer sits in the endgame

One of the nine demon lords in the Nine Circles of Hell, the final region, with an achievement for the kill like every other lord. The fight order is not fully documented — check in-game, but wherever he lands in your sequence, he demands the same thing: a way through metal.

Reading the title

“Duke of Metal” is a promise of heavy armor phases — stretches where your damage does close to nothing until the armor comes off. The threat model is a damage race you cannot win with the wrong kit. This is where armor-dissolving skills earn their place: the acid-burst and gaze picks detailed in the demon lords guide both shatter armor, and against Lucifer that is worth more than any horde skill you own.

The counter framework

  • Armor break before damage. Open with your armor-break source, then dump. Reversing the order is the classic wipe.
  • Single-target everything. Lucifer is one target for the whole fight. Horde clear is dead weight in this slot.
  • Burst in the broken windows. Once armor is off, commit hard — that is the only phase where your multipliers matter.
  • Stay mobile between phases. The adds still come, and a crowded arena makes the next armor phase harder to set up.

Pre-fight checklist

  • One armor-break source, leveled. This is not optional against this lord.
  • One strong single-target skill with Focus tiers finished — see the best skills tier list.
  • Movement Focus and Defense Focus for the long middle of the fight.
  • Relics that favor single-target damage over spread.

What wipes players

  • No armor break. You will ping numbers in the single digits and run out of clock.
  • Horde-only builds. The build compendium exists because late-game lords punish one-dimensional kits.
  • Spending burst during armored phases and having nothing left for the broken one.

The one thing to remember

Lucifer is a build check, not a mechanics check. Either you brought armor break or you did not, and no amount of dodging closes that gap. All nine lords are covered in the demon lords guide.
