Exiled Survivors: Nine Circles of Hell Endgame Guide
The Nine Circles of Hell is Exiled Survivors' endgame — the nine demon lord gauntlet, what your build needs before entering, and the prep checklist that decides the run.
Nine Circles of Hell is the last region in Exiled Survivors, and it is not a zone with a boss at the end — it is a gauntlet. Nine named demon lords, back to back, and each one is a different exam.
The nine
The achievement list names them all, and every one is a separate kill:
Acheron, The All Seeing · Mephistopheles, The Death Bringer · Balrug, The Fiery · Belphegor, The Ever-Watching · Lucifer, The Duke of Metal · Beelzebub, The Glutton · Mammon, The Undying · Phlegethon, The Otherworldly · Satan, The King of Hell
Detailed fight behaviour is in the demon lords guide; the element each one tests is in the damage types guide. The short version:
- Balrug brings fire zones — you need sustain and damage you can deal while moving.
- Phlegethon slows you — movement investment and slow resistance decide that fight.
- Belphegor throws lightning chains — stop moving in predictable lines.
- Beelzebub is poison and swarms — attrition wins.
- Mammon is an undead race — bleeding and damage over time.
- Lucifer is armored — armor break is not optional here.
- Acheron barrages — constant movement.
- Mephistopheles teleports — reactive play, not planned routes.
- Satan is all of it at once.
The exact order and how many circles you fight per run is not fully documented — check in-game. Treat it as a marathon: assume you will face more than one lord without a reset and build for endurance, not for a single burst.
What your build needs
- One damage type, fully maxed. Eight lords, eight themes — but a maxed element with full Focus tiers beats a spread that is mediocre at all eight. See the Focus passives guide.
- Armor break somewhere in the kit. Lucifer alone justifies the slot.
- Both a horde answer and a boss answer. The circles do not pick one.
- Movement. Half these lords are tests of whether you can keep walking.
- Sustain. If your plan is to out-damage everything, you will lose to whichever lord survives longest. Compare against the archetypes in the build compendium — sustain and sustained-AoE builds handle this gauntlet best.
Pre-entry checklist
- Core damage skill maxed, Focus tiers complete
- Armor break available
- AoE and single-target both covered
- At least one defensive or movement energy slot — see the energy skills guide
- Relics all matching your committed element (drop specifics are not fully documented — read them in-game)
- Comfortable clearing the Dunes including Anubis, without burning every resource
- Commander level and account upgrades banked — worth doing Hard mode first for the account XP if you have it unlocked
The honest expectation
Your first several attempts will not clear all nine. That is the design — each run teaches one lord, and the achievement list is essentially a progress bar. Push as deep as you can, note which lord ended you, and rebuild for that specific answer next time. The tips and mistakes guide covers the habits that cut attempts short, and the stage progression guide covers what to farm between attempts.
