Blair Build Guide — Fire AoE Pyromancer in The First Descendant

Blair is the fire AoE pyromancer of The First Descendant — here is his Flame Zone build, Burning Phase reactor, modules, and the best weapons to run.

Blair is the pyromaniac — high AoE, damage-over-time, and a Pitmaster passive that rewards you for keeping enemies burning. He’s simple to play and one of the more approachable Descendants once you accept you’ll be standing in the middle of the fire.

What Blair actually does

Blaze Up drops Flame Zones, Extinguish collects them for MP and DEF, Burn Taste is a forward flame, and Deadly Cuisine (ult) is a fireball that splits into more explosions. Pitmaster (passive) raises crit damage vs Burning enemies and crit rate per active Flame Zone — so the more zones, the hotter you hit.

Best weapon pairing

Deus Ex Manus is the weapon pick — it’s a sword with huge Additional Attack Chance that loves his AoE. Enduring Legacy is excellent (it lowers Fire Resistance on hits and boosts ATK vs Burning), and Greg’s Reversed Fate bombards shielded enemies with Burn. As stat sticks, Volcanic Heart gives Fire Skill Power and Peace Maker gives sprint cores. Thunder Cage covers trash.

Reactor + skill match

His skills are Fire and Dimension, so a Burning Phase reactor (Fire + Dimension) is the mobbing answer; Burning Singularity (Fire) works too. Chase Skill Critical Damage + Skill Cooldown for mobbing, or Colossus damage + crit for bossing. Match the optimization condition to your gun.

Core modules

Classic Chef (Transcendent — more Flame Zones from Deadly Cuisine) is the signature, plus Fire Specialist, Focus on Fire, Focus on Dimension, Amplification Control, Time Distribution, Increased DEF, and Increased HP. Fire Master and Nimble Fingers help. Other Transcendent flavors: Flame-Grilled, Truly Deadly Cuisine, Backdraft, Killer Recipe, Next-level Recipe.

External components

The Fire Brand set is his 4-piece home — it boosts Fire skills and punishes Burning enemies. Cores: Max HP and DEF.
