Luna Build Guide – Turn the Whole Squad Into a Headliner

A Luna support build for The First Descendant: how her music buffs work, the modules that keep songs rolling, and the weapons that fit a backline bard.

Luna is the bard of The First Descendant. She does not out-damage anyone, but her songs buff the entire squad’s skill power, MP, and survivability at once. Learn her rhythm and you become the most valuable player in any lobby.

How Her Music Works

Luna’s signature is Stage Presence, which equips a unique weapon and spawns Notes you hit by shooting or using skills. Land the notes for Perfect Pitch; miss them and you burn MP. Her three acts – Exciting, Relaxing, Cheerful – change what those songs grant: damage buffs, MP recovery, or an Inspiration Gauge that unlocks Enhanced Skills. The passive Improvisation fills that gauge whenever you hit notes. The trick is timing: cast the buff before the damage window, not after.

Modules to Keep Her Singing

Forget maxing Skill Power. Luna wants uptime and survival:

  • Nimble Fingers and Skill Extension cut cooldowns and stretch each song.
  • Maximize Duration keeps buffs live longer.
  • MP Conversion and MP Collector manage her hungry resource pool.
  • Increased HP, Increased DEF, and Battle of Stamina keep her alive in hard content.
  • Mid-Air Maneuvering helps her reposition with the grapple.

One nuance: Skill Cooldown does not help note timing, so don’t waste slots there.

Reactor and Weapon

A Materialized Mechanics or Materialized Singularity reactor (Skill Range and Duration) lets her buff from farther away. Thunder Cage is the go-to gun – stable, mobile, and its shockwave clears adds while you focus on the setlist.

Where She Shines

Luna is a force multiplier in Void Intercept and Axion Plains runs. Stay glued to your damage dealers, watch their positioning, and treat every song as a team-wide power spike. She pairs absurdly well with a Serena or Ines battery from our tfd-tier-list. If you are experimenting with endgame support, also read tfd-arche-tuning for the node path that keeps her songs rolling, and tfd-modding-guide for socket strategy.
