Viessa Build Guide — Ice Control and Infinite Ammo in The First Descendant
Viessa is a Chill control Descendant with a strong infinite-ammo build in Season 4 — here is her Frost Bullet setup, reactor, modules, and weapons.
Viessa got a real glow-up after the Season 3 rework and now sits among the top picks. She’s a Chill control Descendant who can also run a hybrid infinite-ammo weapon build that rivals Gley’s. Flexible and fun.
What Viessa actually does
Her skills — Frost Shards, Cold Snap, Blizzard, Frost Road — all inflict Ice Shackle and Chill. The Ice Sphere passive auto-targets Shackled enemies for free damage. The headline modern build is Frost Bullet: it converts her skills to Chill-Tech and grants 60 bullets that deal bonus skill damage per shot — basically a weapon-DPS mode on top of her skills.
Best weapon pairing
For the infinite-ammo build, Hammer and Anvil is the single-target/boss pick (explosive shells), and Restored Relic works as a budget option. As a stat stick, Secret Garden gives sprint/grapple cores and Frost Blossom is a pure Chill-skill-power stick. Albion Cavalry Gun is a strong all-rounder that stuns. Thunder Cage covers trash.
Reactor + skill match
With the Absolute-Zero Transcendent her skills turn Singular, so a Frozen Singularity (Chill + Singular) is the mobbing answer; for the Frost Bullet hybrid, a Frozen Mechanics (Chill/Tech) reactor fits. Chase Skill Cooldown + Chill Skill Power, or Skill Crit Damage depending on the build.
Core modules
For Frost Bullet: Frost Bullet, Mid-Air Maneuvering, Increased HP, Emergency Measures, Front Lines, Skill Concentration, Skill Expansion, Focus on Tech, Focus on Chill, MP Conversion, Nimble Fingers. Hunter’s Resolution (ancestor) rounds it out. The Firearm Cooling trigger mod also reduces cooldown when you inflict Frostbite.
Transcendent Module
Absolute-Zero (skills go Singular) and Frost Bullet (the infinite-ammo mode) are the two that define her. Pick based on whether you want pure skill scaling or the hybrid weapon playstyle.
