THE FINALS Sponsors and Fans Guide (Season 12)
THE FINALS Season 12 Sponsor Journey explained: how to unlock sponsors, how Challenges and Contracts work, and how to farm Fans for World Tour ranks.
THE FINALS Sponsors and Fans Guide (Season 12)
Season 12 rebuilt the whole progression layer around you. VR currency is gone, Sponsors now work like a quest system, and the World Tour ranks up on Fans instead of points. If your progression screen looked like a different game after Prime Time — it is. Here’s everything, in plain English.
What happened to VR currency
VRs were removed in Season 12. Weapons and gadgets now unlock either automatically or together with their parent Playstyle through Playstyle Tokens. If your old VR balance vanished, that’s intended.
The Sponsor Journey, step by step
Sponsors are now a quest-style system, and it works like this:
- Play four matches. That’s the unlock requirement. After that, Sponsors open up to you.
- Pick a Sponsor from the main menu. The Season 12 sponsors are OSPUZE, ALFA ACTA and ISEUL-T.
- Activate a Challenge. Each Challenge is a set of three to five Contracts.
- Complete the Contracts, then return to your Sponsor to claim rewards — cosmetics, documents and audio logs.
You can switch Sponsors and switch Challenges whenever you want, but remember: only your active Challenge progresses. Don’t spread yourself thin chasing three sponsors at once.
Choosing a sponsor
The sponsors reward different playstyles, which makes the choice matter more than it looks:
- OSPUZE favors aggressive actions. If your matches are full of fragging and pushing, its Signature Plays will feed your progress faster.
- ALFA ACTA favors protecting and fortifying. Anchors, defenders and objective-focused players fit here.
How Fans and the World Tour work now
The World Tour still exists — six ranks of four tiers each — but instead of World Tour points you now rank up by collecting Fans. You earn Fans through regular gameplay, seasonal events, and your current Sponsor’s Signature Plays, and you progress by playing Ranked Cashout, Cashout, or Quickplay — the ladder climbs no matter which mode you enjoy.
Practical tips for farming Fans:
- Keep a Challenge active at all times. Signature Plays tied to your sponsor are passive Fan income you’re otherwise leaving on the table.
- Play the mode you’re best at. Faster rounds and better performance mean more positive actions, which means more Fans.
- Don’t ignore seasonal events. Limited-time event contracts are usually the densest Fan source while they’re live.
Other free rewards worth knowing
- Frights Galore (Halloween event): A prize wheel with 20 prizes. Completing daily Contracts earns up to three tickets per day, and collecting enough prizes unlocks the Underworld Outcast Outfit. The exact prize list isn’t published — check the event screen in-game.
- Battle Pass: Free, Premium, or Ultimate. Premium offers up to 106 rewards and 1,650 earnable Multibucks; Ultimate adds 12 rewards, 20 levels and a 25 percent Match XP boost.
What to prioritize first
- Get your four matches in and unlock Sponsors.
- Activate the Challenge that best matches your playstyle.
- Check the World Tour screen once per session — Fan ranks unlock rewards as you climb.
For the rest of the season’s changes, the Season 12 rundown is the companion read, and new players should start with the beginner guide. If you play solo, Solo Showdown also feeds the same systems.
